I didn’t wait for the big break - I painted my own way in. What began as a student side hustle with no connections, email lists or followers became a full-time studio built on grit, grace, and a commitment to my dream.
Today, I license surface pattern collections, design packaging and products for boutique brands, and teach artists how to trust themselves enough to give their dreams a chance. Whether you’re building your product line, chasing your first licensing deal or a mama sketching between nap times - I’m here to help you make art that tells a story that is unmistakably yours.
“🧡 Jess helped me see the value of what I am doing and has given me confidence to just put my work out there." - Tam

Over the years, I’ve invested thousands of dollars learning from artists, agents, and industry professionals around the world, I invested in understanding what actually moves the needle.
Everything inside Brush to Brand reflects what I wish I’d had access to earlier:
clear guidance, real examples, and tools that support long-term growth.
Altogether, that’s over $4,200 in resources and support.
What is the Value Anyway?
Same. That’s why B2B is built in small, achievable and meaningful moves. Think two/three 60-90 minute blocks a week, not eight-hour marathons. I assign tasks per module so you can experience a direct outcome from each module so the needle moves - portfolio plans, buyer list clearer, pitches sent. Busy is real. Progress can be, too.
Yes. In Self-paced, you get a private Kajabi Community (not Facebook), two live Q&As this cohort, replays with timestamps, and thread-based feedback on your portfolio, pitches, and collections. Can’t make a call? Pre-submit your question. You’ll still get a direct answer every Monday.
I don’t teach spam. Companies are overflowing with copy/paste pitches. I teach human-first connection and outreach: short notes, clean links and kind follow-ups. I'll give you templates to work with, and the beauty of it is, you'll be so invested and excited to share your story and your work that cringe won't even cross your mind.
Worksheets, screen recordings of workflows and a file-prep checklist will turn the overwhelm into ease. Stuck? Post a screenshot in the community. We’ll untangle it together.
You probably could. The question is the cost of “eventually.”
Brush to Brand trades months of guess-and-check for a clear mindset ot market sequence, real feedback (so you know what to fix and why), and lighter mental load (scripts, checklists, community).
If you’ve got time to tinker, DIY works. If you want measurable progress in 8 weeks with no wasted effort, this is the path rooted in purpose.
If you already have an illustration skill - hand-painting or digital this is probably the best investment you could make to start building a strong, sustainable studio system. Ideally, you have some traction and are ready to take transition to becoming a profitable studio. If you’re still figuring out your basics, like how to draw, paint or use Procreate I would suggest holding off for now. Focus on building your skill, and I'll be here when you're ready!
One of Brush to Brand's unique features is that I cover how to create seamless patterns in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Procreate. You will need a scanner if you work with hand-drawn/painted pieces. If you don't currently work with a design software, my best recommendation is Adobe Photoshop as your baseline and Adobe Illustrator if you can add it. Photoshop will cover all your bases from cleaning up art, to repeats, exporting and creating mock-ups of your designs on product.
While we do cover digitising in Module Two, we also cover file organisation, creating repeat patterns, recolouring your artwork effectively and then there's the Uncover, Share and Honour sections of the B.R.U.S.H Method that put your digitised art into a system that allows your library to grow, get seen and sell. The short answer? YES!
$3 portraits at a student desk with a watercolour paint set left to my by my Gran, turned into a side-hustle. I taught myself Illustrator late at night and began taking on logos and small brand work. Those early portraits taught me how to simply start and trust my desire to carve out my own path. It set the tone for everything that followed.
Creative design requests grew while I supplemented my income designing guidebooks for NPO's. My first nursery and wedding commissions arrived, and I felt the thrill of stepping into a creative path of my own. I sold out my first 20-person workshop and fell in love with teaching.
I started building my first online course. My dad passed away unexpectedly. I finished the course through grief. In 2020, the world shut down, yet over 100 students enrolled in Watercolour Made Simple. I co-founded a stationery brand while moving cross-country.
In 2022 I drew a line in the sand. I built a pattern library, invested in mentors, and committed to learning more about the licensing industry worldwide. Our baby girl arrived early in 2023. The night before her birth, my first non-exclusive licensing contract landed. I designed an Advent calendar during nap times, then signed with Moda Fabrics.
A sunlit studio, new collaborations monthly, and a redesigned website opened space to teach what truly helps: identity first, then skill, then simple systems. Brush to Brand is the small, steady path I wish I had to protect me from burnout cycles and overwhelm. This isn't just about fast-tracking success, it's about rooting rhythms in fulfilment and seeing the magic of what follows.
STUDENTS SAY IT BETTER THAN I COULD
